Responsible for software between the system hardware and the middle tier of the application. Provide design, implementation, direction and technical guidance to a 8 person team. Goals include implementing a unit-testing plan, a componentized architecture, and reducing the current product lines into one product for all platforms.  Also responsible for team building, hiring of new developers, creation of new development standards and evaluation of relevant technology.

Software Developer III, Essential Technologies, R&D, re:Member Data Services, Inc

Provide prototype and production code, database design, training of new employees and technical guidance of a 7 person team, and participate in system architecture design. No direct management responsibilities. Project was a ‘next generation’, n-tier, distributed Credit Union software package that will become the company’s main product for at least 10 years. Software was prototyped in C++ and written in Java. Main responsibility was the ‘Persistence Layer’. The purpose of the Persistence Layer was to provide implementation independent persistence to several COTS DB packages as well as distributed object retrieval, concurrency support, object versioning, and workspace reference integrity. Other responsibilities included creation and or selection of the testing framework implementation, error handling systems, logging systems, BO design and implementation practices, deployment planning, and system utilities.

Constructed a print revision control matrix. The matrix was created in lotus 123 for windows 3.1 and loaded into a networked database for maintenance. This allowed for uniform print revisions throughout the factory on an ongoing basis. This facilitated the ISO 9000 certification of Nylomold.
